Rental Assistance Programs
Section 8-rental assistance and a Senior Home Sharing program are programs funded in part by the City of El Cajon and El Cajon Redevelopment Agency. The City of El Cajon contracts with the San Diego County Housing Authority to administer the Section 8 Certificate/Voucher Program and there is often a waiting list. Home Sharing is a program that assists seniors in locating roommates to share existing housing in the community. The Home Sharing Program is partially funded by the El Cajon Redevelopment Agency and administered by Heartland Shared Housing.
